There’s even more WOW on offer at this year’s Cardiff Festival with a double bill of spectacular performances featuring the very best of home grown talent and award winning international artists.
Cardiff’s own SWICA (South Wales Intercultural Community Arts) present ‘Dragon’ a sensational carnivaltheatre presentation. The flamboyantly costumed 50 strong cast bring to life Merlin the Magician’s ancient prophecy through a heady mix of dance, drumming, jumping stilts, steel pan melodies, Riostyle samba dancers and much more!
Attention then turns skyward where award-winning Spanish / Argentine company ‘Grupo Puja!’ perform K@osmos, an adrenaline fuelled aerial spectacle in its Welsh Premier.
During this acrobatic air ballet, eight energetic performers swing, spin, bounce and literally fly overhead suspended 150 feet in the air from a giant steel ball creating a breathtaking succession of poetic images, a visualization of cosmic energy accompanied by high octane live music.
