Now in its 21st year the annual Cardiff MAS Carnival once again brings Cardiff City Centre alive. Enjoy the hundreds of flamboyant costumes and carnival creations, masks and headpieces, giant puppets on backpacks and mobile sculptures – all dancing dynamically through the streets of Cardiff with a finale presentation at The Big Weekend on City Hall lawn.

Cardiff MAS Carnival 2010 is called “COSMIC CELTS” – imagine futuristic Celtic tribes of the Year 3000 on parade!

STREET JAM : join the revellers up close and personal for the Street Jam in lower St Mary Street as the parade stops for a half hour of high-energy street performances.

DON’T JUST VIEW IT, COME AND DO IT !

FREE Carnival Arts Workshops Tuesday 13th – Friday 30th July (12 noon to 9pm) at the Channel View Leisure Centre, Grangetown – all welcome, no experience necessary, expert team of multicultural carnival artists, drummers and dancers on hand throughout.
