Fringe @ Cardiff Festival

The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama returns this year to present The Fringe at Cardiff Festival. Your only chance to see this preview showcase before it transfers to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival later this summer.

Four new productions destined for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe preview in Cardiff.

Frapetsus Theatre
Emerging company Frapetsus from Swansea, present a new drama “Connection Failed” by Jack Llewellyn (“Who’s Coat’s That Jacket” and “I’ll be there Now in a Minute”). The internet gave us social networking, our lives played out to invited guests. This play focuses on the lives of young professionals surviving the dating game, balancing relationships in full view of 'friends'. Everyone knows who you've poked!

1979 Manchester – a Skinhead band rehearse in the hope of getting their first gig. Tonight 'The Man' offers them one, but at a right wing rally. Will they play? What's more important Money, Music, mates or Morality?

Music Theatre for young people
The Unknown Theatre Company
The Amazing Adventures of Little Red Riding Hood, by South Wales writer Lesley Ross. Performed by award-winning The Unknown Theatre Company, this witty and colourful musical reworking of Red Riding Hood was a 5 Star Fringe First Nominee in 1999 and returns to bring enjoyment again!

Equinox Theatre
Fringe veterans Equinox Theatre present a new play by Welsh writer Lewis Davies. “Supertramp, Sickert and Jack the Ripper” establishes possible links between Welsh artists and the notorious murders in Victorian London.
