Everyman Open-Air Theatre Festival

Cardiff's renowned Everyman Theatre Company presents its Summer Theatre Festival at the Museum of Welsh Life. This year's bold programme offers something for everyone this summer. Now in its 29th year.

6-16 July
The Pirates of Penzance
by W.S. Gilbert & Sir Arthur Sullivan

This year’s festival starts with The Pirates of Penzance - a feast of piratical escapades and musical delight in the company of Gilbert and Sullivan’s best loved comic characters.

20 - 30 July
The Comedy of Errors
by William Shakespeare

In Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors two sets of twins, jealous wives, land ladies and dodgy salesmen wreak havoc in Ephesus-on-Sea - a place where no one is quite certain who’s who and what’s what!

23 - 30 July
Old King Cole
by Ken Campbell

Join the fiendish Faz and his feeble-minded assistant Twoo as they take over the play to help weedy Baron Wadd win the hand of 'fair' Princess Daphne (daughter of Old King Cole). They must employ all their skills of skulduggery and be prepared to undertake dirty deeds to prevent heroic Cyril the Fiddler from claiming the bride to be. Full of fast-paced physical comedy, circus skills and audience participation this summer pantomime will have children - and adults - rolling in the aisles!
